Tra la la la la
Dino just called me. He spoke with the Chief of Police. The officer who originally took the statement and all the pics and info on Sunday is off duty for the rest of the week. As of his last shift, he had not spoken with Karen.
Dino explained to the chief that Karen is still driving by, still calling his cell, still e-mailing him. The chief said he is VERY aware of the situation and it needs to stop. He is PERSONALLY going to issue a no trespassing order against her, and he will PERSONALLY hand it to her and explain the ramifications of her violating that order.
Tra la la la la
I would like to say that this will be game, set, match, but I know better. I know her history. I suspect this will keep her away from her house for a week at best. After that, the pyschosis will take ovah and she'll be back. When and if that happens, Karen is going to jail. And you wanna know the real kicker?
I actually feel bad for this woman.
THUD
Don't get me wrong, I want the order placed on her, I want Dino to have some peace, but I feel bad that anyone can be so completely crazy that people have to go to these lengths to keep them away.
The truth be told, I hope that someone is able to get through to her and get her into counseling. If this behaviour doesn't stop, someone is going to get seriously hurt, and I suspect it will be Karen.

I'm first!
She needs help. She'll get it.
I've had enough psychos in my life that I don't feel bad for her but I do hope she gets help. I also hope that you and Dino don't have any additional drama to deal with before that happens.
Wench, what about all the damage to his house? Isn't that arrest worthy? Is destruction of property a felony or something?
If it was a man tearing apart a woman's home, would the legal ramifications be the same?
As a casual observer, I'm wondering if Sheriff Andy is overlooking the significance of her continuing to call/email/driveby. Doesn't that mean she doesn't understand the significance of breaking into someone's house and trashing it?
Duffer
Yes, the ramifications would be the same.
Yes, because there is over a certain amount of damage it is a felony. She will be arrested more than likely, and the she'll get bailed out and a trial date will be set.
No one is overlooking that she isn't playing with a full deck, but you still have to go through all the proper legal channels.
If she breaks the no trespassing, she'll go to jail, then we move onto step number 2 in the process
Twench- what do you know about her previous breakups with husbands/boyfriends?
I agree that she needs help. Hopefully the legal system will make sure she gets it. Why wasn't this considered a B&E? She broke in to his house, correct? Maybe because she has a history with him. I'd love to see her charged with a felony.
After my experience with The Canadian, I understand the idea of feeling bad for a person like this, but believe me that feeling goes away pretty quick.
